HI Bill It's note really Mark this time it's me Barb. I read your whole site to Mom tonight and she really enjoyed it as did I. She thought she might go to Kim's and see if she could get on here herself. She is glad you got there safe and sends her love to you. This is really nice to be able to hear all about your adventure. Take care and have some fun. Love Barb

OK it's still not mark it's just easier to use his when i'm on the computor at home. I can't figure out why you haven't been writing books when i read your entries i can see what your talking about. It is a highlight of my day to go on and see what you are writing each day. I told my friend at work about it and now she checks it every day and really enjoys it also. Are you saving these to put in a folder to bring to the campout to share with everyone? I really can't tell you how great this is to be a part of this adventure with you. I hope you are taking care of yourself and you will be home before you know it. Look forward to the picture. I will write later. Love Barb

Hey, Bill, greetings from Georgia. I must admit, I love reading your blog and am learning a great deal from you. It is almost like reading the New York Times on Sunday - I come away amazed. Thanks for taking the time to share your wonderful adventure with us. Thanks, too, for the note about Chris. I'll tune in tomorrow. (I normally watch that show anyway so would have really been suprised to see him.) Do take good care, keep warm and keep those great postings coming. They're terrific!

Uncle Bill,
Glad to see you out exploring the world. There are alot of warmer places to explore though. I have read your blog and it sounds pretty interesting. Have fun and be safe.

yes we are still here reading everything you write and I do share it all with mom on sunday nights. It does seem like there is lots for you to learn about there. Are you doing ok or is it pretty hard to be away? We are sad now because the cabin is now shut down, it was really hard to turn off the water now that it works. It seems like we are sharing your cold, Oct was not nice at all, and I think Larry is right we aren't going to have an indian summer this year. The kids are doing good and April reads your blog every morning first thing. Did they issue you a helmet, maybe it could come in handy in that shower you have to use. Besides longer hair will help keep you warmer. Keep sharing all you are doing and take care of yourself. Love Barb

WAZUP WE????????????? I sure hope that you realize, before you pass the point of no return, that you are slowly suffering from brain freeze down there. I check in and read your blog about every other day, and it has become very clear to me that your acclimation process has not gone well. Please seek help immediately!!! Your friend always. BB

Hello Bill - I'm enjoying your blog posts. You may not remember, but when I was in the Navy I was one of those nutballs who volunteered for Operation Deep Freeze. The Navy in its wisdom sent me to Alaska instead. It sounds like you're enjoying the adventure of a lifetime.

High Bill: I'm a friend of your niece April's up here in Minneapolis. She got me hooked on your adventure. I've got a question for which you might be in a unique position to respond. Here it goes ... I try to keep up to date with all the "causes-of-global-warming commentaries" going on right now. consensus positions abound, occasionally other viewpoints surface. (Increased CO2 causes GW ... CO2 increases result from GW ... that kind of thing.)
I'll bet you rub elbows with more than a few folks who work on this topic. If so, what do you hear from them? Is everyone on the same page .. are there people who say the jury is still out .. or are there those who have strong opinions on both sides of the (human-caused) GW issue?
Many Blogstream members are there
already! Quotes from members: "It's like blog lite!" -- "I like the instant
gratification!" -- "Stop spectating, get in the game!"
If you have not joined in, you are really missing out!
